PROTRUSION Unveil Details for Debut Album, ‘The Last Suppuration’

Indiana’s PROTRUSION, a new death metal force with members from Gorgasm, Sarcophagy, Human Filleted, and Found Hanging, have announced their debut full-length album, The Last Suppuration. This slab of Morrisound-inspired death metal is set to drop on March 13, 2026.

PROTRUSION: A New Contagion

The Last Suppuration promises a sound steeped in early ’90s death metal extremity. It’s a festering monument to the genre’s savage traditions. The band also shared the title track and lead single, “Boiled at Birth,” which you can stream at protrusion.bandcamp.com.

Release Details & Pre-Orders

The album will see multiple formats. Extremely Rotten Productions and Unholy Domain will handle the vinyl edition this spring. For March 13, the cassette version will be out via Unholy Domain (Europe) and Iron Fortress Records (North America), while Sevared Records will release the CD.

About PROTRUSION

PROTRUSION hails from Lafayette, Indiana. The lineup includes former and current members of underground heavyweights Gorgasm, Sarcophagy, Human Filleted, and Found Hanging. They draw inspiration from classic Morrisound death metal recordings and other early 90s underground favorites, cultivating a sound that feels both fresh and familiar to fans of archaic, cryptic death metal. The band released a three-track self-titled demo in March 2023 to positive reception and have since played many shows and festivals, including Chicago Domination Fest (2023) and Slam Dakota Death Fest (2025). The announcement for The Last Suppuration first came on January 20th, 2026.
