WIELDED STEEL Drop Crushing “Sins Of Your Domain” LP Today

Birmingham, Alabama’s WIELDED STEEL just dropped their new full-length, Sins Of Your Domain, today via 1126 Records. Get ready for a brutal dose of death metal and hardcore.

The band isn’t looking to make friends with this record. Vocalist Jesse Clark describes it as a “violent fusion of death metal and hardcore.” And while some might reach for the “deathcore” label, Clark clarifies: “I’ve got a lot of feelings when it comes to the word deathcore. It’s used to describe every stadium band that tries to tune their guitar the lowest and have the longest breakdown possible.”

WIELDED STEEL isn’t about that sound. They cite bands like Internal Bleeding and Irate as inspirations. Drummer Cyrus Patel adds, “We started out somewhere between death metal and hardcore, but we’ve been quietly adding more and more death metal influences as we’ve progressed.”

That progression is clear on Sins Of Your Domain. There’s no fat on this record, just raw aggression. Clark comments on the lyrical themes: “Lyrically, Sins Of Your Domain is a record about how people I see as evil should be made to acknowledge and, in one way or another, atone for their sins committed by their ‘domain.’ Whether that’s their country, their class, their corrupt belief systems, or the people they surround themselves with.”

The album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Kevin Langley. It’s available on CD, LP, and digital formats.
