Exhumation and Funeral Chant Announce Sacred Oath: Temple Of Death Split

Indonesian death metal outfit Exhumation and US blackened death band Funeral Chant have partnered with Carbonized Records to release Sacred Oath: Temple Of Death. The seven-track split arrives on April 3rd.

About the Bands

Formed in 2008 in Yogyakarta, Exhumation built a reputation in the Asian underground for their brutal death metal. Following several releases, including their 2024 album Master’s Personae, the band continues to refine their death/thrash sound.

Oakland’s Funeral Chant formed in 2014. Avoiding modern production trends, the band focuses on a raw, aggressive sound, taking cues from underground acts like Necrovore and Degial. They have maintained a consistent presence in the California scene for the past decade.

In anticipation of the release, the bands are sharing one track each: Exhumation with “Subterranean Ways” and Funeral Chant with “In Feverdreams…”. Sacred Oath: Temple Of Death will be available on CD, LP, cassette, and digital formats. Preorders are open now through Carbonized Records.
