THE ABSOLUTION SEQUENCE Unveil Debut Album Dread Cycle, Drop Ghost Mantra Video

Tasmanian technical death metal band THE ABSOLUTION SEQUENCE is finally ready to drop their first full-length album, “Dread Cycle”, on August 14. This follows a run of EPs and singles, and it’s coming out via Bleeding Art Collective with Blood Blast Distribution handling it.

They’re giving fans a taste of what’s coming with the official music video for the album’s first single, “Ghost Mantra.”

The band talks about the song’s lyrics:

“‘Ghost Mantra’ is all about being surrounded and taunted by the apparitions of our ancestors, and the sacrifice of the lowly in order to maintain the status quo. What comes with these haunting feelings is the overwhelming presence of guilt, as we watch the poor die horribly and step over their bodies to see out our goals. ‘Ghost Mantra’ is a solemn bow to those who have suffered. A showing of respect and gratitude.”

This album is shaping up to be their most intense work yet. “Dread Cycle” was produced by Chris Themelco and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios. The band wrote the music, and Shawn Wells handled the lyrics.
