Australian Black Metal Returns
Brisbane black metal outfit Graveir has announced their third full-length album, The Festering Triad. The record drops on May 29th, 2026, through Apocalyptic Witchcraft.
Formed in 2014, Graveir built a solid reputation in the Australian underground. Following their 2016 debut Iconostasis and its follow-up King Of The Silent World, this new release promises a bleak and violent continuation of their sound.
Inside The Festering Triad
The PR notes describe a relentless record. It opens with “Lords Of Misrule,” setting a dark, unsettling tone with an underlying, corrupted melody. From there, tracks like “A Futile Exhortation” and “A Thief In The Heart Of Man” bring in heavy blast beats and aggressive, atavistic riffs.
The band sums up the album’s intent plainly:
“A harbinger of collapse — a soundtrack to a world burning from the inside out.”
The closing track, “The Rite Of Degradation,” wraps up the assault with pure, bestial energy.
