Hellevate Announce Sixth Album: Killicon Valley

Kansas City thrash outfit Hellevate is returning with their sixth full-length record, Killicon Valley, set for release on May 22, 2026. Nearing 20 years into the band’s career, the new album promises 12 tracks of straight-to-the-point, old-school thrash metal.

The group is pulling in influences from speed metal, death metal, and hardcore to push their sound further this time around. Fans can already check out the first streaming single, “In The Long Grass,” ahead of the album’s launch.

Expanding the Thrash Formula

Guitarist Dan Whitmer laid out what fans can expect from the upcoming record, noting that the band spent the last few years pushing their boundaries physically and mentally in the studio.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this release! It’s the result of the last few years of a concentrated effort to expand our songwriting capabilities and deliver something for every kind of metal fan there is. Sonically, we’re going to places we haven’t been to before, and we’re trying out a lot of different approaches, sounds, and songwriting angles in our mission to make heads bang worldwide! Everyone involved has pushed themselves physically and mentally in their performances, and it’s all come together in a unique blend of melody and aggression, tackling every subject from our anger at the injustices in the world, to velociraptor attacks and Japanese spider demons. Grab a brace, because this album will make you wreck your neck!”
