Bulgarian Death/Gore Metal act Necromonger are releasing their debut full-length album, Emanation Of The Dying Perceptions, on July 9th, 2025 via Xtreem Music. To mark the announcement, the band has also dropped a new video for the track ‘Slaughter To The Bones’.
Forget appealing to humanity. Necromonger’s sound leaves no room for mercy, only a malignant hunger. The inevitability of the end is overwhelming; the world keeps turning while this music reduces your ideas and emotions to a shapeless mess of flesh and liquid. It’s enough to make you weep… but there’s no more time for that.
Formed in 2021 by members of Fecal Body Incorporated, Cocklush, and Concrete, Necromonger are devoted to the sound of rotting, repugnant death metal. This isn’t about high-velocity blasting. Instead, Necromonger takes their time over each kill, revelling in choking, claustrophobic atmosphere and sinister, crawling heaviness. A miasma of fear and desperation hangs over each song. After years immersed in their fetid fantasies, they’ve emerged with a debut album designed to bring a shudder to even the most hardened death metal fan.
Emanation Of The Dying Perceptions kicks off with ‘Beyond The Pleasure Principle’, gradually submerging listeners into terror. Razor-edged atmosphere gives way to snarling guitars underpinned by thuggish bass. Brutalizing vocals bring warped sickness to the methodical dismemberment. There’s a seething unpleasantness boiling beneath the slow-motion bludgeoning. From here, there’s no escape. The album is chilling in its soulless inhumanity.
Songs switch from the murderous heat of tracks like ‘Born In Grave Wax’ – a lumbering, tribal dance of destruction where the bass sounds like strings hanging like loose entrails – to cold, fear-infused nightmares like ‘Confessions Of A Dead Poet’. It’s a disorienting blend of horror. The riffs are thick and suffocating, like wading through offal, and the band delivers wound after ghastly wound. Listening to Emanation Of The Dying Perceptions is a mind-warping experience that moves from shock and disgust through fear and madness to total desensitisation, and finally, a lust for depravity.
The final track and first advance single, ‘Slaughter To The Bones’, is a standout. Its monstrous guitars and hellish vocals come with a sense of sinister revelation, as if the meaning behind all the preceding savagery is laid bare in this insidious, creeping conclusion.
Emanation Of The Dying Perceptions will be released by Xtreem Music on July 9th, 2025. It will be available on CD, 12” LP, cassette, and digital formats. The CD includes the bonus track ‘Necromonger’ – an instrumental combining atmosphere and brutality. The cassette version adds ‘Necrocannibal Pollution’, a feast of molten riffs.
With this debut, Necromonger have crafted a love letter to the dismantling of the human form. Expect no mercy.
