The album is getting some early attention:

“A frantic and brutal approach to extreme metal, Sectarian Defacement have laid an ambitious groundwork with Hostile Consuming Rapture.”

– Dead Rhetoric

“Abyssal gutturals accompanied by a fiercely downtuned and crunchy guitar attack over some punchy and distinctive drum production lead us into battle with the Ukrainian power trio.” (9/10)

– Metal Bite

Hostile Consuming Rapture is available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats. You can stream the album’s official track below:

After their EP, Chaotic Demiurge, the band has gone heavier and more focused. This album delivers raw, aggressive brutal death metal. It mixes technical riffing, grinding intensity, and groove-driven parts. The songs are tight and memorable.

Sectarian Defacement aren’t going for the polished “slamcore” trend. Instead, they deliver something more extreme and brutal. The sound is raw, heavy, and direct. It hits like a blunt weapon.

Lyrically, the band also talks about darker historical themes, including crimes of the Soviet regime.

If you’re into truly heavy and uncompromising brutal death metal, you should check out Hostile Consuming Rapture. Sectarian Defacement show they have real intensity and a strong identity.

Band Members on the Album:

“As a composer, I wanted to create not only aggressive and extremely heavy music, but also combine a brutal sound with more groovy and catchy elements. It would be cool to create something unique, something that would be different from the oversaturated crowd of similar sounding bands, and have its own recognizable SD branded style.”

– Nazar (guitar/vocals)

“As a soundman, I wanted to create a unique mix, that would not sound like all those ‘slamcore’ mixes. No offense to bands that do trendy overproduced mixes, but I wanted to hear something both modern and brutal. My take was to give Old school slam’s sound it’s logical modernization. Main influences were – Supply of Flesh Came Just in Time by Craniotomy, Goresoaked Clinical Accidents by Aborted Fetus, Tortured Whole and Homicidal Ecstasy by Sanguisugabogg, and Dissect, Molest, Ingest by Amputated.”

– Anton (bass)

“I am happy to be able to talk to the audience through our music, and I really enjoy the fact that we are one of the few bands who talk about crimes of soviet union, particularly it is really important for western listeners to hear the truth. We tried our best to make the music sound interesting, in my opinion we managed to do it, and we will continue doing it in future.”

– Viktor (drums)
