Milwaukee’s PIG’S BLOOD announced their new album, “Destroying the Spirit,” set to release April 24, 2026, through Dark Descent Records. This marks their first release with the label, and it promises to be a brutal one.
PIG’S BLOOD has spent over a decade delivering their unrepentant strain of death metal. And “Destroying the Spirit” pushes that sound further, hitting a new level of relentless, blackened brutality. It’s an unholy barrage of volcanic riffing and abyssal hostility, pure violence.
While often grouped under the banner of war metal, their sound stretches beyond a single label. PIG’S BLOOD draws from the raw, militant fury of bands like Revenge and Blasphemy, fusing that chaotic savagery with a backbone indebted to early ’90s American death metal legends such as Deicide, Order from Chaos, and Incantation.
The result is a malformed yet deliberate hybrid — bludgeoning battle hymns delivered with a sharp, serrated edge. Through sheer force and conviction, PIG’S BLOOD continues carving out their own brutal stronghold within the death metal underground.
